I work in a dental office and we do a lot of braces!. I will try to answer your questions as non-technical as I can!.
1!. It takes approx!. 15 mins to get the brackets bonded to your teeth!.\Most dentists will schedule about 45 mins to an hour to get the brackets placed, place molar bands and then place the wires and o-rings!. The o-rings are the little colored or clear elastics that hold the wire on the bracket!.
2!. It does NOT hurt to get them on!. They clean the surface, place some bonding and apply the bracket!. Usually light cured with a special little light!. Very easy!. Taste is not great but you do get to rinse out!.
3!. The cost varies from dentist to dentist!. Usually for upper and lower full orthodontics it will cost around $4000 or more!.
4!. Depends on many factors, could take longer depending on your bite and if you have crowding and misaligned teeth!. Usually though about 2 years!.
5!. They are not a big hassle!. You do have to keep your teeth clean and make sure gums stay healthy!. Should do that anyway!.

Braces usually take about and hour to and hour and a half for the entire appointment of getting them on to take place!. It doesn't hurt at all to get them on, but that night you can't eat anything because they are so sensitive, and you get MANY sores in your mouth!. Generally braces cost around 6,000-7,000 dollars, but the dental insurance will take care of most of that!. Most people have braces on for 1- 2 years, but it all depends on the condition of your teeth!. Braces do cause a lot of hassle; you can't eat many of your favorite, sticky foods, it takes longer to brush them, food gets caught in them, and so on!. Overall, I say while you have braces on, you won't enjoy them, but after they're off, you'll LOVE the results!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

5!.No they really arnt a big hassle but they can be depending on how much patience you have!.
6!.Well I dont really care but it is worth it! When you get them off you know you have a beautiful smile!
Some tips: Get whitening strips when you get them off! Oh! get lots and lots of wax!!! Trust me you will need it!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
