I have a wisdom tooth that came out fine?!

Question: I have a wisdom tooth that came out fine!?
but sometimes it causes swelling in the gums around it and down my throat!. Could this be an infection!. The whole tooth has not yet come out the back third of the tooth is still covered so i cant floss behind it but i can floss infront of it!. Anyways today i squeezed the swollen gums around it too see what would happen and this hard yellowish thing came out!. Im guessing it could be food because i ate som popcorn earlier!. But anyways it came out of my gums!. Now i know it has to be removed but im broke and i havent passed my 3 month probation at my job so no dental plan yet!. Is there anyway i can get it removed or at least stop the swelling until i get a plan or the money!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When wisdom teeth are coming in, they can cause a lot of problems, especially with the gums around them - little flaps of gum can get swollen as they are pushed by the tooth, then as you bite down on them they swell even more and can become infected!.

You don't necessarily have to have the tooth removed - the dentist can clean around the tooth and under the gum with antiseptic solution, and/or provide some antibiotics if there is an infection!. This shouldn't cost a lot, so I would really advise you to get it done at the dentist, for your own comfort and health!. It is a little worrying that the swelling affects your throat, so you should get it sorted asap!.

If there's absolutely no way you can afford to visit the dentist, you need to keep the area clean and free of infection!. Get some antiseptic mouthwash like Corsodyl (chlorhexidine mouthwash) and use it regularly - even try swabbing it around the swollen gum!. Rinse your mouth after every meal - hot saltwater should do the trick and make sure food doesn't get trapped again!. On no account should you squeeze the gum again though! It can just add to your problems!. If possible visit a doctor and see if they would recommend antibiotics for the throat swelling!.

All the best with it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't you guys get free healthcare over there!? Anyway, if you cannot afford it, just to remind you dental care is real important because an infection or any damage to the gums can cause further damage and illness!. You should consult a dentist either way!. Usually the wisdom teeth does not just come out alone without a dentist pulling it out so it does not sound too good!. Your best bet is to see the dentist!. Try to find a good cheap one!? Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
