Question: I am a dentist with an american llisence what would i need to be able to work in Canada!?
Answers:
Did you graduate recently!? If so, and you graduated from an accredited American school, you may be able to write the National Dental Examining Board exams and be eligible right away!. If you graduated a number of years ago, it might be more difficult!. I would suggest writing to the Canadian Dental Association for general information or to the Provincial Dental Association for provincial regulations!.
I practised in Alberta so I am familiar with the Alberta Dental Association regulations!. If you have a NDEB certificate you can come right into Alberta after writing a ethics and jurisprudence exam (which is not too tough)
Quebec is a little harder, one of the requirements is that you speak French!.
Check on the net for the addresses of the various provincial associations, they can give your the official scoop!. And welcome to Canada it is a great place to live!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
