Without Dental Insurance What is the Price of a Porcelain Filling?!

Question: Without Dental Insurance What is the Price of a Porcelain Filling!?
I have a few painful cavities!. Help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
First of all, cavities are not filled with porcelain!. They are filled with resin, a tooth colored filling, or amalgam, the silver fillings!. Porcelain is reserved for crowns, bridges, partials, implants, veneers, and dentures!.

Resin fillings are more expensive than amalgam, but not that much more expensive!. Each dentist can assign a price for what he thinks a resin filling is worth!. Usually, the bigger the filling, the more costly!. But they also have to stay within certain price guidelines, because if a dentist charges too much, the dentist will lose lots of business!. But to answer your question, it really depends on the size of the cavity, and what the dentist will charge!. You might be able to get a discount!. I did when I went to a dentist and I had no insurance!. But again, that is up to the dentist!. My dentist gave me a discount because he would rather get paid most of his money than none at all!. I hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
