Question: My orthodontist said next visit I will be taking impressions for a retainer (in 4 weeks)!.!?
I've been in treatment since February 2007!. Does this mean I get the braces off during that visit in 4 weeks!?

you have to ask the dr/staff about that one!. some Drs take the impressions for the retainers while the braces are still on but dont remove the braces until the retainers are finished, others may let you go a week or two without the braces before you get your retainer!. But you are most likely getting very close to having them removed, call the office they will know what the dr usually doesWww@Answer-Health@Com
The impressions for your retainer is when they measure the correct retainer size for your mouth!. After the impression, your orthodontist will schedule a appointment to take your braces off!. So, you will not get your braces off in 4 weeks!. I just got my braces off today, 6/3, so I when through the whole ordeal!. Please e-mail me for more information!Www@Answer-Health@Com
