Are the X-rays given by the Dentist harmful?!
Question: Are the X-rays given by the Dentist harmful!?
I am just wondering because I know that X-rays aren't good in large amounts!. I got somewhere between 5-10 x-ray pictures done of my mouth yesterday (You know, where they make you bite that thing and they snap an X-ray pic!?)!. I'm only 15 years old, and I was just wondering just how harmful this is if done about twice a year!. I know it's bad, but how bad!?

Not really!. An Xray is only just over the level of background radiation that you receive naturally everyday!. You would need one hell of a lot of xrays in your lifetime to have any adverse effects (hence why radiologists wear lead clothing for interventional procedures and stand behind screens for standard xrays)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Dont worry, they are not harmful unless you are 2 years old and get 18 x rays like I did last week before i got my cleaning and braces!. They are not harmful for adults unless you are pregnant, then the radiation can affect the baby, specially in the first three months!. You will be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
