Why was my tongue black?!
Question: Why was my tongue black!?
I woke up this morning and my mouth tasted like i threw up!. I went to brush my teeth (which i do twice a day) and noticed that my tongue was black!. I almost had a panick attack!. I scraped most of it off with a tongue scraper!.
Here is what I think it is!? Last night i ate some pepto bismold disolving tablets!. They were nasty and i spit it out!. Then I had a sip of diet coke and went to bed!. Could it be that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it says right on the bottle of Pepto, "May cause a harmless darkening of the tongue or stool (poop)!.

Dont freak out but its called Black Hairy Tongue caused by the bismuth in your pepto-bismol!.!.!.its actually quite common!.!.and harmless!.!.!.heres a link to explain:

Ur tongue contains starch so u might have put some iodine on it(by mistake) so it turned black!.!.!.!.!.!.
