Mouth abcess and braces?!

Question: Mouth abcess and braces!?

i have had braces for a year now and only realised tonight that i have an abses covering half of the bracket on my back tooth on the right side of my mouth!.

When i was cleaning my teeth it was bleeding is this normal!?
