Where can I find exercises for relieving TMJ issues?!

Question: Where can I find exercises for relieving TMJ issues!?
Sometimes I am unable to open my jaw wide enough to take a bite and when I do get the food in, my jaw cracks and grinds and hurts a little!. Its not extremely painful most of the time but the feeling is too creepy so I end up not eating when it happens!. I've heard that there are some sort of jaw exercises that you can do to help a little, but I cant find examples of them anywhere!. Please send me a link if you can find anything online!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The most simple one you can do is this: first look in the mirror closely and open your jaw very slowly, do you notice it comes forwards first, or when opening it deviates and moves sideways at all whilst opening!.

The correct movement is just in a simple straight hinge/swinging movement, no movement to the sides or anything like that!. (but the jaw does move slighly forwards right at the end when you are opening to the maximum!.)

okay heres the excercise:

with your mouth closed put your tongue right back as far as it can go and touch the roof of your mouth!.

Hold it there!.

Now still holding it there, open and close your jaw!. all the time keeping your tongue right back against your palate!. repeat this opening and closing say 20 times!.

You should notice in the mirror that your jaw will be swinging nice and straight!. It is just a matter of reconditioning the muscles in your jaw to learn this movement!. The more you practice the better it will become!.

If this doesnt help, you should go see your dentist as they will be able to help too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
