Do I have a Dry Socket from tooth extraction?!

Question: Do I have a Dry Socket from tooth extraction!?
I got my lower wisdom tooth out this past Monday (just about 3 days ago)!. My dentist told me it was a worst case scenario of getting an extraction!. He used 8-9 shots of novacane!. It still hurt like a mo-fo coming out!!! It took him about 45 minutes trying to loosen it out!. He told me like 20 min!. in that he might need to stitch me up and send me to a surgeon since it was difficult for him to remove!. I also had an infection!. He finally got it out and stitched me up with dissolvable stitches!. I am only taking advil every 4-6 hours!. When the advil wears off the pain is soooo achy and throbbing!. I can't open my jaw all the way either!. It seems as though from the looks of it he made an incision into my gum area too!. The stitches are still there and the pain tonight feels a lot worse!. I feel like it is traveling up to my sinus area on the same side!. I've been cleaning with salt water!. And I'm on amoxicillan!. Can I still get a dry socket even though the stitches are still in!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If you are having pain that is running from the extraction site up into your ear or upper jaw region and also forward towards your chin it is most likely a dry socket!. The best thing for you to do would be to call your dentist in the morning and have them pack it with dry socket paste to relieve the pain!. To do this they will remove the stich and place a gauze dressing with a special medication on it down into the socket!. It can be uncomfortable when they are doing this and it kind of tastes funny but 20 mins after they pack it you will feel a whole lot better! After they pack it you will have to return to the dentist to have the pack removed in about 24 to 48 hours!. If it was your general dentist who removed your wisdom teeth they might not stock the dry socket dressing so it may be best to see and oral surgeon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it's extremely painful and the pain has traveled to your eye sockets or the sinus area in general, I've read that it could be dry socket!. I'd see my dentist as soon as possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
