Orthodontic elastics question?!

Question: Orthodontic elastics question!?
So last week i got orthodontic elastics, but they are not doing anything!. i would double them up, but i read that doing so is bad!. in what way!? my teeth don't even hurt the slightest from the elastics i have now! i want this space closed so bad! could i double up!? or what does that pose problems for!? btw my elastics attach from my lower molar to my top canine, all on the right side!. would this close my space any faster if i doubled up, or should i see my orthodontist!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No, doubling doesn't increase those chances!. The elastics pull, however, doubling it won't make it pull, but stay in place more!. There are different sizes of elastics!. The ones I have are made from 3M Unitek!. There are sizes like "dwight" which are medium-light!. The smaller the elastic are, the more they pull!. Go ask your orthodontist!. If they wanted to close it faster, they would have gave you more smaller elastics!. The lighter the elastics are, the more they stretch and the smaller they are, the more they pull!. So keep those in mind!. Hope this helps :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

i would go see your orthodontist for smaller elastics that wont stretch very muchWww@Answer-Health@Com
