Marquette denistry? any advice?!
Question: Marquette denistry!? any advice!?
I am a patient at the dental school in Wisconsin!. I have been there for about a year going through some heavy duty dental work!.So I was almost all the way done and into getting my upper dentures!. My student dentist told me he didn't have time to finish my dentures cause he was graduating, he said he would transfer me to another student, so since he was doing that i had him transfer me to a new clinic closer to my house!. I was transferred with my paperwork but the student dentist said he misplaced my dentures so I have to start over from scratch, the question I am asking is can I do something like suing Marquette for negligence!? You should not just "misplace someones dentures!. any advice would be appreciated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's unfortunate!.
I don't think you would be successful suing (since you probably signed forms when you started there as a patient) and losing dentures probably doesn't constitute malpractice!. I doubt it would be worth your while in legal fees to try!.
However, I think you have grounds to speak to the clinic director and ask for them to cover the cost of having a new set made so you aren't out the financial expense!. (If you have the choice of being reimbursed for the set from the dental school or having them pay for a new set, you would be better off to take the new set!.)
On the up-side, a private clinic can probably make you new dentures in a whole lot fewer appointments than your dental student did, so the whole process of impressions and adjustments may seem a lot less tedious this time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately with Student dentist, this often happens!. It also happens with practicing dentists!. Unless it was malicious, there is not much that can be done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
