Question: Novacane Shot!?
well tomorrow im getting my first cavity filled!. Im super nervous!. I hate shots and I know you have to get the numbing shot before they start drilling!. Does it hurt really bad (worse than a normal shot like in your arm)!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will do just fine!. My husband is a dentist!. Can you believe that when we were dating I broke a tooth and he offered to fix it!. I was scared, but at his office he was getting things ready and looking at the tooth!. I told him I was ready for the shot and he laughed and said, "I already gave it to you"!.!.!.!.I couldn't believe it!. He did this little thing where he shook my lip really fast and as he did that he gave me the shot!. Some how the shaking blocked the pain receptors and I honestly didn't feel a thing!. Some dentist just swab a little numbing gel on your gum first!. Tell your dentist you have never had this done before and are a bit nervous!. When you enter the dental office try to concentrate in something beautiful like the paintings or the dentist if you got someone attractive, or get an ipot, walkman etc, to distract yourself, but remember to concentrate in the good and concentrate in the positive always, Think I love this place!!!
If you are positive than you will never have to take meds to control yourself, remember that your brain has more power than anything!.
