Question: Does a gum infection cause a lot of pain!?
Just been prescribed antibiotics because ive been having really bad tooth ache, my dentist said its a gum infections!.

Will the antibiotics stop the pain!? Im on metronidazole tabletsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Gum infections can be incredibly painful!. The antibiotics will help providing you take them as instructed and finish the course!.

Rinse your mouth with a warm saltwater solution as this is brilliant for helping to get rid of the infection!. It tastes vile but was recommended to me by a Dentist and really helped when I had a gum infection behind my wisdom tooth!.

Try taking Ibuprofen if the pain is really bad but the antibiotics should work pretty quickly!.

Metronidazole and Antibiotics do good together to the gums when they are infected!.
Antibiotics are not pain-killers but they treat the underlying apathy caused by the bacteria!.
The name is suggestive of the function of anti(against)bio(life)tic(agent/substanc!.!.!.
Metronidazole is an anti-infective too like an antibiotic!.
You may use Advil for alleviating pain!.
