Question: Pain after Root Canal!.!.!. Normal!?
Alright, Monday I had a second root canal performed on a tooth that i had a root canal done on 13 years ago!. The tooth was not bothering me at all!. The Dentist noticed it when i went in for my 6 month cleaning!. Now Since then, I have been in a great deal of pain!. I have to take Ibuprofen and Tylenol at hte same time to control the pain and still cannot put any sort of pressure on it without shooting pain!. Is this normal or do i need to call the dentist back!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, it is normal!. Some people have no pain, some have very little, some have horrible pain!. I had my dentist do a rootcanal on me, and the next day I was in so much pain that I told him that either he numb me up or I was going home for the day!. By that evening, it was just a little sore and by a day from that, it was fine!.

As long as the pain is getting less and less, you should be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just got mine done not too long ago and I was in pain for about a week or so!. Its normal but keep taking the medicine and if it doesn't go away within a week and half to two weeks then call the dentist because something could be wrong!. You should be fine though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A friend of mine said she experienced the worst pain in her life after root canal work, so I think it is normal!. Although your dentist should have warned you about how painful it can be!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd call tomorrow and see what they say!. I don't think that's normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to go to a new dentist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
