Question: Geting braces!?
Hi
I'm getting braces in 5 days, and when the orthodontist called my mom they said they were doing everything on wed- consultation, moulds, everything!. But doing some research, everyone on the internet says they had spacers or elastics put in first! Do you think I'm just going to skip that bit, or did the orthodontist forget I don't have spacers and they'll have to do the braces next week!?
I've already had a lingual bridge, which needed a spacer for, so do you think they just don't need it for my teeth seeing as there's already a gap!? Any help welcome!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you still have your lingual appliance in!? If you do, you would not need spacers, since the bands are already in place!. If not, it is possible that you won't need spacers because your orthodontist wants to do all stick on braces, which means you would not have the metal bands that go around the back molars!.
If you are worried about it, I would call the office!. I am sure they would be happy to explain the reason for no spacers!.

I had braces 2 years ago, i had to have one tooth removed due to it not wanting to fall out and let the adult tooth grow up and through!.
Anyway i also had everything done on the same day; x-rays, moulds, consultation etc!. i didnt have to have any spacers or elastics!. I had the braces fitted the week after!.
Just make sure you are well stocked up on pain killers !!!
