Yes, headgear is still used in orthodontics!. It is one of the most effective appliances used for severe overbites!. It is not used on everyone that has an overbite though!. Most orthodontist will have you wear it only at night and in the privacy of your own home!.

Yes, headgear is still used!. If your bite needs to be corrected then you may have to use it, but don't worry, you probably won't have to wear it all the time!. My brother only had to wear his during the night for a short amount of time!. It all depends!. If you end up having to wear it, then good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't think it is very common anymore!. I couldn't tell you when I last saw someone wearing headgear!. Most people with braces didn't have to have headgear back when I had braces (15 years ago) so I'm sure there's even less now! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
