Question: Doz it hurt!?!!?
I am havin an operation on my teeth this week!. Iam 14 and am going to have to remove my wisdom teeth!. it involves cutting the gum, removing the teeth and then stitching the gum!. has anyone done this yet!? because iam EXTREMELY SCARED and worried! : / please be honest and answer ASAP!

im 14 now!.!.!.!.but i got mine out when i had just turned 13 :> i had all 4 taken out too!. i was worried too but everyone does!. this procedure is done very often so theyw ill get it right!. you will get a needle that will put you to asleep!. the op takes around 30-60mins and when you wake up your jaw will feel abit strange as it has been open for a long period of time!. you should have someone that will comfort you like your mum or your dad or a family member!. you will get yellowish bruising on the inside of your mouth for aroun 7-9 days!. and you will have swollen cheeks for aroun 10-14 days but just make sure you relax and take it easy!. make sure you follow your surgeons instructions so nothing goes wrong!. i suggest eating things like pureed fruit and baby food(i no its weird but you will understand trust me) and jelly, mash potato &protien shakes!. DONT use any straws to drink!. keep up your fluids like water cordial etc!. avoid milk as it can upset your stomach :> after you have had surgery and the pain killer has worn off take a pain killer then after that take one b4 you start to get a pain because if you wait until you start feelin the pain it will hurt bad!. i was so scared as well & i saw my older sister go through her procedure too :> which turns you off but there are so many benefits to getting them out at our age!. you wont have teething pains when you are older when they are coming through, you wont have any pains, they wont wreck your other teeth and there are many more :> good luck and stress less!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

At the very beginning they will give you laughing gas and than when you say you can't feel anything they will give you the IV!. Than you are knocked out!. They will do all what you said above in your question, you wake up and its over so fast!. You will have pain killers to help with the pain you may swell up and even throw up cause of the blood!. The best thing to do is to listen to what the surgons say like no chips no straws etc!. I was able to go to the movies the next day the pain killers take the pain away!. I'm 16 years old and just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth cut out last summer!. Just like you, i was extremely nervous and scared, but now i realize that it was nothing to be afraid of!.
When i got mine done, i was put under!. I was glad though, because i don't remember a thing!. It took the doctor about 1 hour to remove them all and then my mom had to walk me to the car!. I was so drugged up i couldn't even walk straight! Your entire face will be numb for hours!. And it will be really hard to eat, so make sure you stock up on foods like ice cream, applesauce, pudding, macaroni, and oatmeal!. The pain is the worst on the 2nd and 3rd days, so make sure you have some pain meds!. But honestly, i was expecting the pain to be much worse, and im not even that tough!. I didn't even need to use the vicodin they gave me for the pain!. Just plan on taking like a week to relax and lay around on the couch (hey, at least you will get out of household chores, and it will be pretty fun to have people serving you ice cream all day!)
But the most important thing is to relax! Try not to think about it!. The doctors know what they are doing and will take good care of you!. Good luck and i wish you a speedy recovery!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It won't hurt much when it's actually being done because they'll numb you up really well, so at the time the only pain will be from the injections, which only lasts a few seconds!. You won't feel pain when they're doing the procedure, just some pressure and pushing and pulling!. But you should be prepared for some pain once the numbing wears off!. The dentist will probably prescribe you some pain killers though, just take them as prescribed and you should be fine!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It wont hurt you will be numb :) you wont know what they are even doing unless they talk you through it, i can un derstand you being nervous but there is no need!. tell your dentist your worried and he will usually be extra nice to u to put u at ease!.

I didn't feel anything!. I was more sore before I went in then after I went it!.!.!.plus, you can be lazy for about a week after you get it done!!! Don't be scared!. The worst part is that the stitches are a little bit iritating afterwards, but it will all be fine!!!

u neednt gt scared!.a dose of local anaesteasia will b injected into the area of operation!.u'l feel numbness after 10 mins!.later u'l b unaware whats gng on!.u may a pressure effect!.just b cool nd relax!.!.!.!.!.dont bother abt it!. everything will b fineWww@Answer-Health@Com
i've never had a tooth removed but i've had a root canal done!.!.
in any serious tooth operation ur dentist will give u anesthesia so u don't feel any pain!.!.n don't think a bout it too much or u just might end up feeling more pain than what's actually there!.!.!.

Its gonna hurt initially because the dentist doesn't know how much anesthesia to give u at 1st!.He will give you some at the beginning!.But when he starts and if you start feeling it he will stop and give you more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
