If a cavity is allowed to progress, there is a possibility that the decay will work it's way into the root!. This will allow bacteria into the blood stream and possibly cause blood poisioning which could lead to death!. Although death from tooth decay is very, very rare in 1st world nations, it does happen from time to time!.

Filling the cavity will prevent any of this from happening!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes I would!. In fact I have done it on my son!.
Children keep some of their baby teeth all the way up until the age of 12!. Just because they are baby teeth, does not mean that they won't continue to use them for many more years!. I also would never wait until my child's tooth was hurting before getting it fixed!. A childs tooth isn't supposed to hurt!. By that point, it has been allowed to go on too long!.

Anyone who is suggesting that you not do it, simply because they are baby teeth, is not dental knowledgable and is giving you bad advice!. Why anyone would want to wait until a childs tooth hurts or possibly abcesses is beyond me!. Plus, filling a tooth is cheaper and less invasive than doing a pulpotomy or stainless steel crown!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I was a child and had a cavity, my dentist even suggested not getting them filled!. If they aren't hurting, then there's no reason to!. Encourage healthy brushing and flossing habits now, though, to prevent it from worsening and get the child in the habit of taking care of his/her teeth so they don't have such trouble in the future!.

Dentist told me that there was no sense in drilling away good tooth (mine were relatively small) and no sense in putting me through that experience, especially being a child!.

I'd advise you not to do it!. good luck with your decision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, even if they don't hurt now, they probably will hurt later!. Cavities grow bigger and worse as time goes on; they don't go away by its self!. And it could be awhile until she looses that tooth, it's rare but some kids don't lose all their teeth until they're 14! I would go ahead and do it, but to prevent any more cavities that you don't want to waste money on later on, I'd make sure she's brushing her teeth well ;) Maybe even pick up some floride rinse at the store!? That helps alot too!. Goodluck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It would depend on how long before her adult teeth would be coming in!. It can prevent infection that may lead to gum problems!. In some circumstances it's done to save the tooth so other teeth don't shift out of place!. The decision is between your dentist and you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. Cavities in baby teeth affect the adult tooth underneath!. I had my daughter's teeth capped, because, for some reason, she was born with almost no enamel on her baby teeth, but her adult teeth are perfect!.!.!. I'm glad I did it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the age of the child!. My son's dentist didn't fill a cavity, because he argued the tooth would fall out soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't!. They're all going to fall out anyway!. Does your child brush her teeth!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

if they were baby teeth, that was a waste of money! they are going to fall out sooner or later!. how much did you pay!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, only if they were painfulWww@Answer-Health@Com
