Question: Is my retainer not working properly!?
Ive had my braces off over a week and still, about half an hour after removing the retainer to eat, my teeth shift!. Should I just ask for a permanent one!? My teeth are getting sensitive from all the shifting!. ANY help is appreciated!. Does it just take a long time for the teeth to settle properly!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Since you have only had your braces off a little over a week, your teeth will still want to move!. Keep wearing your retainer full time (except to eat & drink anything but water)!. After a while, your teeth will not want to move so quickly!. Depending on where your teeth were to begin with, they may always have a tendency to want to shift a little!. I would just keep a close eye on them and if it gets to the point where your retainer is not fitting properly, call your orthodontist right away!

its normal!. teeth are want to shift back into thier original position after having braces removed but just make sure that if you notice a dramatic change or you are concerned just call up your ortho!. :> and definately if your retainer doesnt seem to fit get it fixed straight away!. dont get a permanent one just yet try out the removable oneWww@Answer-Health@Com
