Can a hard hit in the mouth from a plastic object cause permanent tooth damage?!

Question: Can a hard hit in the mouth from a plastic object cause permanent tooth damage!?
Hi all, I just hit myself in the mouth trying to release a safety bar from my baby's outdoor swing!. It gave way suddenly and hit me full force on the outside of my lip!. I now have a massive fat lip, but i also have purplish bruising up high on my gum above my right front tooth, and my gum feels like it's on fire!. Will this cause any root damage to my tooth, or is it just gum bruising!?

Serious answers only please, or don't bother!.
Thanks in advance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am afraid Sally that the 'fat lip syndrome' will be with you for some little time!. But that is really nothing to worry about!. If anyone should make comment just tell them they should see the other guy!. As for your gum, Well, I really do not want to make comment because I am not a dentist!. My best advice is for you to consult a dentist as soon as you can and possibly alleviate further problems!. As for the pain, well, I can only recommend painkillers!. I am so sorry you have been hurt in this way and hope you feel better very soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is certainly possible to have serious damage with the situation you describe, I think the onLy way to know for sure is to see a dentist and have it x-rayed and evaluated!. If you have say a root fracture, the tooth might be saved with a root canal!. If you delay things, it could quickly get to a point that it can not be salvaged and need to be extracted!.

Don't wait to get it looked at!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you MUST CHECK it to your dentist

trauma caused by anything (hit by anything) can cause TEETH DAMAGE plus your GUM is injured

in that case,, dentist will check whether your tooth is vital or nonvital
and will help relieving your pain (if it really bothers) by topical anasthetic

hope it will help :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

just gum bruising GONNA HURT FOR A WHILEWww@Answer-Health@Com
