Answers:
YES - Amoxicillin in suspension form (liquid) does expire, and relatively quickly!. Any antiobiotic that is suspended in a liquid should generally be refrigerated and has a shelf life of about 14-21 days!. After about 3 weeks the composition of the liquid suspension changes!. I wouldn't recommend taking any additional suspension after this time period!. Occassionally, Amoxicillin suspension is dispensed in a "syrup" type form - this has a much longer shelf life, usually about a year!. Ultimatley, it depends on the type of liquid your pharmacist dispensed!. You can always call your pharmacy if you are unsure of the type of Amoxicillin dispensed!. The best thing to do is call your dentist - he can quickly call you in a new prescription for the Amoxicillin (especially since he prescribed it before)!. It won't require another trip to his office!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should be fine in terms of the medicine and expiration if you have refills!. Medicine typically has a shelf life of 6 months to a year after the listed expiration, amoxicilin is different!. Amox!. doesnt have much of a shelf life, which is why it requires refrigeration to help preserve it for your temporary needs!.

However, for the pain, you should visit your dentist ASAP, it could be anything from irritation to a possible reoccurrence of that same nerve being bothered, or your dentist didn't fully treat the nerve!.

Have it checked out again and best of luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Liquid medicine has a shelf life of five years from the date it is manufactured!. You can safely use your opened bottle of amoxycillin syrup if you stored it properly under required temperature for as long as it has not expired yet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That was prescibed for the prior problem, I would consult your dentist!. Or just make an appointment to be examined!. And yes liquid medications do indeed expire, after some time they loose their strength and in most cases turn to sugar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
