Question: I am having a root canal done at the end of the month!?
it is a broke tooth that has been broke for about two years, and just sitting in my mouth broke off tooth!. it has not really giving me any pain since it broke, i finally am just going to get the root canal done because i know i need to for my health!.!.!.

why!? do u think that root canal treatment is a game, that u can play it just when u want!?
first, to stay two years with a broken tooth is bad!.!.
second, teeth fractures may not reach the pulp and don't cause pulpal trauma, so in this case root canal treatment is not indicated!.!.!. just a filling or crown will be fine!.!.
But if there is any pulp exposure, or pulp trauma, the pulp "root canal" treatment is a should!.!.!.!.
and i think that u don't need it as u said there where no pain!.!.!.
anyway, root canal treatment is not painfull, but u can feel pain at home after the first visit, and u can use pain killers to not feel it at all!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A root canal is when the nerve of the tooth is damaged (like from a cavity or broken tooth) and needs to be removed and filled so that tiny annoying bacteria cant get down into the tooth and cause an infection!. a root canal can help save your tooth!. usually the dentist places a crown on a tooth with a root canal!. Although root canals have a horrible reputation as being painful, most of the time they are done uneventfully as long as you take the medications given to you by the dentist!. it will be a lot more painful if the tooth becomes infected and swollen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
u should check up on sedation dentistry!. they put u to sleep and u wake up drowsy and a little out of it but you won't feel a thing until maybe a little pain after where they will give u medication and you will probably have to stay in bed for the rest of the day and stay away from any type of hard foods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
root canales do not hurt at all anymore, i promise!. They are painful afterwards because you have to hold your jaw open for a long time!. the procedure will not hurt a bit after the initial novacaine shot!. (and thats just a small pinch)Www@Answer-Health@Com
you have my sympathy, root canals are in general, very painful!. If you do not have a cavity in the tooth I would question the need for a root canal and ask why they cannot just put a crown on it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
