I had my wisdom teeth pulled and stitched up. Am I going to have holes still?!

Question: I had my wisdom teeth pulled and stitched up!. Am I going to have holes still!?
Answers:
When you have your wisdom teeth removed, the healing takes place in stages!.

First, they put stitches in and a blood clot forms to protect the nerves and socket form infection!. Be very careful with it, because if the blood clot is lost, then you can have what's called dry socket!. It's very very painful!.

Most likely you got the stitches that don't have to be removed!. they're clear and they will dissolve and break away!. They taste awful!. Be prepared!. Your gum will heal over and you probably will never notice again!.

Soon the cavity where your teeth were will fill with a sort of scar tissue!. It's no big deal, you'll never notice it!.

After a certain amount of time, the tissue that was there before will be replaced with bone and in x rays, you'll never know there were teeth there!. :DWww@Answer-Health@Com

The openings in your gums will close over in the next two to three weeks!. The sockets in your bone where the roots of the teeth were will fill in with new bone over the next several months!.

Avoid playing any contact sports for the next six weeks as your jaw will be more prone to fractures during that time!.

My husband had this done and the hole will remain for about a month!. However it is not hard to take care of!. Using a salt water rinse will help with the food that gets stuck in the hole! Just make sure not to suck on it or it will cause a dry socket!Www@Answer-Health@Com
