I just had a root canal done this afternoon!. Will it come off or go away!? Its really ugly and its my front tooth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it is all the way around the circumference of the tooth, most likely is from them "packing a cord" which is dental terms for when they place a string just below the gumline to retract the tissue while they work, they will do this if the tissues are irritated and bleeding so that the root canal doesnt get contaminated!. The black coloring is often caused from the "anti-bleeding" material that they soak the cord in!.!.!.if this is the case, it will go away in a day or so!. and the gums make be a little sore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
when you have a root cnal, they push back the gums a bit to give the temp or permanent crown more room to "stick"!. So in a way you had a mini gum surgery where they push back your gums, and now they are "bruised" the discoloration will go away once the gums have healed!.!.!.nothing to worry aboutWww@Answer-Health@Com
it might be some filling that got on the gums or something they used while they were working on your tooth!. I would call and ask them, see what they say about it, chances are it is something that was used in the office and stained your gums or residue left behindWww@Answer-Health@Com
It may be a bruise!. The glue is not black!.
did they only drill and fill, or did they use more to scale or shave the gums!? If there is excessive pain tonight, go back tomorrow and get more x-rays to rule out unintentional damage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Might be the color of the temp filling they used or congealed blood around the tooth!. I recall the temp filling is gray!. I'm betting it's just congealed blood and it's nothing to worry about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
IF THIS OTHER TOOTH NEXT TO THE ROOT CANALED TOOTH HAS N EXITING METAL CROWN YOU'RE NOTICING THE METAL OF THE ROWN OR IF THERE IS NOT A CROWN THERE THEN THIS IS MOST LIKELY A RING OF DARK TARTAR WHICH A PROFESSIONAL CLEANING WILL REMOVE!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
