Question: Can cavaties effect your bite!?
I went to the dentist about 2 months ago to get a cleaning!. They told me I had a couple cavaties!. (2 I think) Well, the dentist and I forgot to schedule an appointment to have them filled!.

It's really hard to explain, but when I close my mouth I can feel the back of my top teeth against the front of my bottom teeth!.!.!. kind of like my bottom teeth are pushing on the back of my top teeth and sometimes my back teeth, when I bite down just feel off!. And they've been really sensitive to the cold!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
In all likelihood, what happens is this!.

You have cavities so your teeth are sensitive!. For this reason, you tend to avoid chewing where they are sensitive!. Therefore, either your bite shifts or your teeth get worn down, either way your bite changes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, a cavity is on the outside of your tooth, and it doesn't make your tooth any bigger!. I really don't think they can!. They will be sensitive because there is a cavity there, obviously!. I would make an appointment to the denist and get those suckers filled pronto! Then if your symptoms persist, make another appointment and ask your dentist what is the problem! (or while you are there the first time getting them filled, you can ask)Www@Answer-Health@Com
