Who do I go to for jaw problems, the dentist or the doctor?!

Question: Who do I go to for jaw problems, the dentist or the doctor!?
Answers:
it can be from dental infection like pericoronitis, or trauma like accident involved the jaw, and also TMJ disorder like temporomandibularjoint pain disorder syndrome due to a stress!. stress can cause grinding teeth while u sleep and make the muscle of the mastication and the joint of the jaw not rest which can cause pain and trismus (difficulty in opening mouth)!. my advice, go to see a dentistWww@Answer-Health@Com

This is going to sound crazy, but i am going through the same exact thing you are right now! It hurts to even open my mouth, but its not my teeth and its in my jaw!. Dont know if this will help but i called an urgent care and asked them about 1/2 hr ago, and she told me to go to both!.(of course she said them first) But I am going to go to the dentist!. It just seems more logical to me, b/c it might be some type of infection or something, and they specialize in the mouth!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Does it feel like the pain has to do with anything afffiliated with the gums or teeth visit the Dentist!. If you think you may have broken, bruised or otherwise hurt the actual jaw in any manner than you should visit a doctor!.!.!.but a visit to both wouldnt hurt at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends, if your jaw is in PAIN then you go to the doctor and then he will tell you if you should go to the dentist or whatever!.
If you have a jaw PROBLEM ie!. overbite, underbite, etc then you go to the orthodontist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
