I have been looking into getting a Waterpik since I just recently got braces!. Has anyone tried this or know anything about it!?

A waterpik is a wonderful tool for people in braces!. I recommend it to all of our ortho pts!. It's a bit messy but hang in there & you will get the hang of it w/out drowning yourself!. It flushes all sorts of stuff out that is really hard to remove w/ just a brush & floss!. Start off using it on the lowest setting & work your way up to a medium setting!. I never recommend the highest setting because it can actually force things under the gum!. Also you can add about 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide to the tank of water & it will kill lots of bacteria in your mouth!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't know about braces but I have one because I have an itty bitty mouth and literally can not get my fingers in my mouth to floss!. I have never had a problem with it before, works well for me and the price is not too bad for prevention of cavities!. Hope that helps a little!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
