Ok, Ive been wanting braces for a long time now and I finally get the chance!. Im still a student with very little money coming in, but I plan on starting the process of getting braces next month!. I would like to ask about the specific process (even though I know it varies with person) and also the cost of it all!. Ive been to an orthodontist before a while ago and he said I'd only need my upper jaw done and 2 teeth pulled (first molar on each side)!. He said it would take a pretty short time, roughly 1 year!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I currently have braces, I believe they were about $2000!.
The first time I went they did a mould of my teeth, then fit in "spacers" in between the second last tooth and the third last tooth on both sides, on the top & bottom teeth!. These had to stay on for three days and were very painful!. I didn't eat at all for those days!. I then went back and they took out the spacers and replaced them with a little metal ring around the tooth!. They then glued the small metal squares to my teeth and fitted and attached wire!. The process of this didn't hurt in the slightest but the next day was extremely painful!. Try to stay away from sticky, chewwy or hard foods during this period! The skin that rubs against the braces gets very tender and blisters form!.!. This hurts a lot, but you receive some clear waxy stuff that sticks to the braces and relieves the skin!.!. This is a saviour- I loved that stuff lol!. Your skin soon gets used to it though, and you don't need the waxy stuff!. After this it's all pretty general!. You keep coming back every 6 weeks- 2 months and they change the sizes and colours etc!.!.

well braces are work thats for sure i have had mine for 1!.5 years and will be off in november!. for both rows it cost $5000 dollars in canada!. never mind the teeth i had to get pulled cost about $500 every time i had it done!. Its expensive but if you vallue good teeth its worth it!. Hopefully you have a dental plan!.

i just got my braces off!. 1st i had some teeth pulled then i went back and they glued metal brackets onto my teeth and 2 rings around my molars!. Then a wire was attached and held on by the rubber bands!. It oly hurts for a couple days, until you get used to it :) Although it is pretty expensiveWww@Answer-Health@Com

yeah sit there and you didnt really know whats going on in your mouth it tasted bad and doesn't really hurt right then (just wait till the next day)
