Why am I getting so many nosebleeds after my wisdom teeth have been removed?!

Question: Why am I getting so many nosebleeds after my wisdom teeth have been removed!?
They were removed on May 28 and so far I have gotten 3 nosebleeds (I know it could be worse though)!. The first and the 3rd lasted about 10 minutes and the second one lasted 20!. Do the nosebleeds have anything to do with getting my teeth removed and they were close to the nasal cavity (or whatever it's called)!? I have also been getting really bad headaches lately, but that could be from lack of sleep, stress, and not having the time to eat as often as I should!.

I just would like to know how to stop them from occurring! They get in the way of everyday life!. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Www@Answer-Health@Com

While this COULD be a pure coincidence, yes, it might be related!. The upper wisdom teeth are indeed located in close proximity to the maxillary sinus!. When you remove teeth, the bone actually gets little microscopic cracks at the surgical site!. These usually heal without any problems!. You might have a bigger problem than that, though!. My usual experience is that, with normal healing, it takes 3 to 4 weeks before a patient feels completely back to normal!. I'd give it another week before you get too worried about it!. If it continues, though, you'd better go back to the surgeon who removed your teeth and get it checked out!. If he/she does not see a connection, you need ot see an ear/nose/throat doctor to get to the source of the problem!.

Of course, if it gets dramatically worse, do not wait before going back to the surgeon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I had my upper wisdom teeth removed (they were impacted) I got nosebleeds several times a day (especially at nights) in the first 2 weeks!.!.!. but then it stopped and it never happened again!.

You might need X-rays to check how your sinus is healing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
