According to the American Dental Association, the average general dentist made 185,000 in 2004, the average dental specialist made 315,000!. The average hygienist made 62000 in 2004!.
So in reality dentists make about 3 times what hygienists make!. most dentists work in private practice, so they are not affected by managed health care like doctors are whose salaries are dwindling!. a dental specialist as well as a dentist who works in a metro area will make more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
