Question: Will getting my cavity filled hurt more if the dentist doesn't use a needle!?!?
I'm 13 and i went to a new dentist because it was a children's dentist and my mom wanted my family to go to the same dentist so i go to a family dentist now!. i had a cavity before at my other dentist but it didnt hurt, but my mom said at this dentist, she got her cavity filled and the needle hurt her!. so does the dentist have to use a needle or will it hurt more if they don't!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes it will hurt more without because your teeth are not numb!. If you get the needle just stay as still as possible and it will just feel like a small pinch!. If you dont get it that will hurt A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1Www@Answer-Health@Com
Ask the dentist to use a topical anesthetic before giving you the injection!. The topical will numb the area so you don't notice the injection as much!. You might feel a slight pinch, but it is over right away!. Some dentists are better at giving injections than other!. Some people do without injections!. I would do this only if the cavity is very small!. My husband never gets injections!. He hates being numb!. I personally want the Novocaine, I don't want to take a chance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The needle is used to put the "heavy duty" numbing medication in so that filling the cavity doesn't hurt!. Yes, without it, it will hurt considerably more than it will with the medicine!. Ask the dentist if they can put a topical numbing agent on before you get the shot!. This will numb the area where the needle will be inserted, making it more comfortable!. yes !. the neddle dosnet even hurt that much u ight feel a pinch but it like 5 seconds and it quick!. and after the neddle u dont fell anythingWww@Answer-Health@Com
