Teeth grinding + the night time stress you described sound like an indication of something else!. There may be some other source of stress deep down below it all!.
I liked someone else's idea here about hypnosis to treat teeth grinding!.
I was also thinking that dream therapy might be useful!. Maybe you can suggest to yourself to wake up when you start the tooth grinding!. Then when you do wake up, you can remember the dreams you just had!. Do this a for a few weeks, keep a journal of your dreams, and you may start to realize there is a pattern of thinking/dreaming that accompanies the tooth grinding and stress!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to grind my teeth a lot, to the point I ground down my incisors into an inverted shape!. Teeth grinding usually means you're under a lot of prolonged stress, so doing things to manage or alleviate stress is the first thing!. The second thing is to go to your dentist and get fitted for a tooth guard!. You wear it over the upper teeth and it prevents you from doing damage to your teeth in the middle of the night (when people most often grind their teeth)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
you should go to the dentist and what they'll usually do is give you a retainer or mouth guard(can't remember which is the correct word to use) to use while you're sleeping so you dont do any damage when you grind your teethWww@Answer-Health@Com
