Wisdom Teeth and Braces?!

Question: Wisdom Teeth and Braces!?
I have 1 partially erupted tooth and 3 that are still hidden beneath!. I think the dentist wanted me to remove it!. But the wisdom tooth didn't cause any discomfort (it felt itchy a bit but no pain)!. I want to get braces!. I also have mixed feelings about this, because I am VERY pain-intolerant, even the thought of a needle kills me!. I thought fillings were horrible because it took an hour but I pretty sure it might take even longer for wisdom teeth!. I'm getting a bit depressed cause this problems been bugging me for a few weeks whenever I imagine the pain there's gonna be!.!.!.I thought braces were terrifying but also having to deal with extraction!. Should I remove them!?

Confused!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would recommend getting your wisdom teeth pulled first!. If you get braces and then have your wisdom teeth pulled, your teeth are just going to shift, which might make you want to get braces again!.

I had all 4 pulled a few months back and it isn't as bad as people make it seem and I'm a wuss :)

The Dr knocked me out and when I woke up, they were gone!.

They gave me painkillers, but I just took Ibuprophen, because I wasn't in pain, it was just an uncomfortable feeling!.

It took about a week before I could start eating regular food!. The first couple of days I just ate yogurt, jell-o, and mashed potatoes!.

I'm getting braces (Invisalign) on Friday!.!.!.my teeth have moved a lot (at least to me) since having my teeth pulled!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I didnt remove my wisdom teeth when I had braces and I wish I did because now they have pushed all my teeth out of wack!.
You shouldnt have any pain through the extraction because they usually put you under when they are removing your wisdom teeth!. You will have some discomfort afterwards but you can take some pain medication like tylenol and as longs as you follow all the instructions the dentist gives you than you should be okay!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

having gone through this recently, i can tell you firsthand that getting teeth extractions aren't that bad, even under local anesthetic!. if ur dentist thinks they will be impacted, it's better to get it done as soon as possible, since extractions when u're older can cause more complications!. of course, everyone's experience is different but i experienced no pain whatsoever!. inconvenient, yes, but nothing too bad!. if it really scares, u can be put to sleep!. i had my wisdom teeth removed earlier this year, and i had four more bicuspids extracted about 3 weeks ago (8 teeth!) to make room for my braces!. removing wisdom teeth gives more room for the ortho to work with

i had my wires attached to my braces this weekend, and let me tell you, braces hurt! the wire is stabbing into my cheek and i can't even bite!. the worst is when canker sores form and it's stabbing right into it!. i get canker sores all the time so in a way i'm kinda used to it!. sometimes i question if this is worth it but i really want straight teeth so i have to go through this!. it's only my first week and i heard ur gums will toughen over time and u won't experience any more pain!.

that's my experience so far!. remember it's only temporary!. u bet i'm looking forward to the day i get my braces off! can't wait!. anyway, good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
