Well, out of personal experience, I can fill you in on the whole braces scenario!.
When you first get braces, it hurts a little bit, but it's not too bad!. I would suggest taking some sort of pain killer before you go to the orthodontist, but ask your parents first!. I found this very helpful afterwards!. Your teeth will be sore for about 3 days after you get your braces, and it's better to eat softer foods for that time span!.
When you get your braces off, you feel a little pain when you're actually in the process of getting the braces removed!. They are going to be sore for a few days again, and soft foods would be reccommended, but it's not terrible!.
Don't be afraid to get braces, because it's really not too bad!. Just as long as you do everything you are reccommended to do by your orthodontist, it will all work out!. If you ever get worried, just think about how your teeth are going to look when you get your braces off! =)

i got mine off june 5th, 2008 after fourty four months!. yes, 44 months, 3 1/2 years!. yup!.
it hurt a lot less than i thought it would!. i was all freaked out!. but then they just popped off, AND they didn't use the yucky clamper scrapey thaang to scrape off the glue, they use like this drill, but it doesn't hurt at all! you don't even feel it!
you'll be fine, i SWEAR!. i thought i was going to die! but now, :D i can't stop smiling!.
OH, and to get them on, i remember it hurting a bit, but i was young, and it was my first time, just take to advils fifteen minutes before you go!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When the doctor tightens it up for each visit, that will hurt especially you can't eat anything hard the first day!.!. after that, you'll be fine!.!. Don't eat anything sticky and chewy like gum, now&later candies, etc!. and make sure you brush your teeth everytime after you eat!.!. You'll see the difference once your braces is out!.!.

It doesn't hurt to get them off but it makes your teeth soar to get them on!. It only last a couple of days, but I would only eat soft things like mashed potatoes or ice cream!. It will also make your teeth soar when you get them tightened too!. Only it will only hurt for about a day or two!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have braces and they dont hurt at all! The only pain you will feel is the braces moving your teeth when you first get them on and when you cahnge the rubberbands!. I dont get my braces off until the middle of december so i dont know about that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If i remember clearly, it doesn't hurt while theyre putting them on or taking them off, its the ache afterwards!. They leave your gums sore, so biting becomes a bit difficult but it only lasts for days, and it's not a pain like AAAAAAAAHHH! its more like !.!.!.ouch!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Getting your braces on, pretty much they just push really hard to get the brakets to stick to your teeth!. But it doesn't really hurt!.

I have ahd braces for about 2 months now and it didn't hurt me at all!. All it does is leave this really bad taste in your mouth!.
