"peg" lateral incisor baby teeth?!

Question: "peg" lateral incisor baby teeth!?
My daughter just turned a year this month she has gotten both upper front teeth and one lateral incisor on one side and all four bottom teeth!. She is starting to cut the molars behind where her canines will be on the top now!. The "missing" upper lateral incisor on the top is starting to cut through now too!. But it looks like there are two teeth there, one really skinny fang, next to her front tooth and then what looks like a normal lateral incisor!. I have been trying to find some info on this but I have only found info on "peg" laterals, permanent teeth!. Which is what the little fang tooth does look like but the articles I've found don't say anything about having an extra normal tooth next to it!.
I'm wondering if they are like that as baby teeth will she most likely grow permenant teeth in the same way!. Or if this is a problem that should be corrected b4 her permanent teeth come in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is difficult to say without seeing her, but it could be an extra tooth or, if you can't see the entire tooth yet to tell, it could be 2 teeth that formed from one tooth bud (called gemination)!. I've included a link to a picture!.

Abnormalities in baby teeth will not necessarily carry over to her permanent teeth!. I would definitely bring her in for a consultation with a pediatric dentist to allay your concerns!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
