Can anyone get veneers? I have a problem with teeth grinding?!

Question: Can anyone get veneers!? I have a problem with teeth grinding!?
I'm 19 years old and really want veneers!. When I sleep I grind my teeth and right now they are about half the size they should be!. They will continue to get shorter if I don't do something about it!. The thing is, my bite is off and my dentist told me I would need braces for 3 years before I get veneers!. I would have been fine with braces 10 years ago, but they are the last thing I want when I'm in my early 20s!.

My question is, if I were to go to a cosmetic dentist asking about veneers, will they let me get them!? If I have the money I need to pay for them will they do it even though I have a grinding problem!? I do intend on getting a mouth guard for when I sleep!. Can they only give me veneers after my other problem is fixed!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Depending on which teeth are more affected in your night grinding, your dentist may advice crowns or veneers!. Since teeth grinding is mainly stress (some times bite) related , there are no guarantees that night grinders will not do it at all during day time!. So, in all situations porcelain crowns (Lava/Procera) are the safer choice at under $400 per tooth!. Have your reasons for stress (psychology) identified and removed!. Continue with your custom made mouth guard!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't see why they would not do veneers, your teeth are already adjusted, meaning short!.!.!. they might have to do a bit more of adjusting!.!.!. but just know that veneers are just a thin shell of porcelain, they can break regardless if you wear your nightguard, the best option would be just to get LAVA crowns, they look the same as veneers, some Dentist do a combination of both sometimes!.!.!. they are translucent and way stronger than veneers!.!.!. I personally think they will last you longer and look better in the long run, but you still have to wear your nightguard just to protect them!.!.!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Veneers won't solve the problem, it's not a good a idea for a grinder, I'm surprised your dentist didn't recommend a bruxing (grinding)plate to keep your grinding at bay!.

If you looking for something more cosmetic, and aesthetically appealing , the best option would be crowns (caps)!.

GOOD LUCK, TAKE CARE!.
AND STOP STRESSING COZ' THAT CAUSES GRINDING!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
