I hear you! I have them on right now and they are driving me crazy!. I have to have them for two weeks!. It hurts when I eat because they touch my gums and since they are metal!.!.!.it hurts!. I am eating soup, mashed potatoes, yogurt, jello, quaker, juices, chocolate milk, anything soft and I also bought some vitamins because since I got my braces a month ago I have a hard time eating solids!. Dont eat solids because the metal spacers can hurt your gums and you cant floss or clean in there!. Hang in there!!! We can make it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I DOUBT you'll swallow it during the night because during the night you dont swallow much!. And you should eat soft foods to get used to them because (*whispering*) most people dont know that when i got my braces and tried eating not foods i got used them and when i got my braces i barely felt anything exept when they took it of!. (*normal*) Try that and tell me if it really hurts like hurting like a metal ball hit your need hard!. To tell you the truth the only thing that i felt was them with a little metal stick counting and placing them straight on each tooth!. And them drying it with the little "blow dryer"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok i've gone through all the crap u could go through before getting braces!. they most likely will not fall out!. those suckers are stuck!. lol!. but you might want to stay away from sticky things like gum and chewy candy!. your orthodontist should have talked to you about what u can and cant eat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
