Why are my teeth still pointy?!

Question: Why are my teeth still pointy!?
Well not exactly pointy, but remember when you first grew your final set of teeth, and they were kind of jaggedy, or saw tooth!? I'm 17 and mine still are, why!? And what can I do!? Thanks so much!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
the ridges on your teeth (they are called mamalons) are normal and are there because of the way the permanent teeth develop!. Eventually as you age, the ridges may wear away!.

If it really bothers you, ask your dentist to contour the incisal edge of your teeth!. You shouldn't have to be numbed up, or anything like that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I worked in a Dentist office and I had those jagged places on my teeth too!. Go to your dentist and ask him/her if they would "shave" it down!. That's what they did with mine!. And it doesn't need numbing or anything!. They use something kind of like sandpaper but not as hard!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

These people answered well

Personally I wouldn't have them grinded because if they wear away naturally, after that the rest of your tooth will be grinding down

And as far as canines and such don't grind those they are cool pointyWww@Answer-Health@Com

it could just be the way your teeth are!. primary teeth arent really jagged!. !.!.!. and jagged as in how!? everyone has little ridges on top of their teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
