How painful is gum surgery?!

Question: How painful is gum surgery!?
I haven't gone to the dentist yet, but will be going soon!. I've noticed that my gums are definitely not pink!. Deep gum pockets have also been formed!. After researching this, I've come to the horrifying fact that I have gum disease!. If I have to get the surgery(which I probably will), how painful will it be!? Is it going to be difficult to brush after the surgery!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Please dont worry about the pain part!.!.!.!.!.dentistry now-a-days is quite painles!. Secondly, it is also quite probable that you may not require to undergo gum surgery!. Many a times just the scaling i!.e scraping away the calculus deposited over the teeth is just good enough to bring back the gums to their normalcy!. So, just dont worry and just visit your dentist!.
Yes, for about a week after the gum surgery( not in your case, dont worry !!!.!.!.!.!.!.let's hope so!!)!.!.!.!.!.!.!.it is little bit discomfortable to do the brushing!. But there are ways to tackle that part also!.!.!.!.generally the patient is advised to use supersoft tooth brushes during that healing phase or sometimes it is advisable just to use chlorhexidine mouthwash as a "substitute" for brushing !.!.!.!.!.just for 1-2 days!.

I had to have a tooth removed, bone graft put in because food kept getting between the two teeth and somehow there was bone loss, and the gum cut away so that I can have a bridge put in!. The gum had to be cut as I had a lot of it and the teeth needed to be exposed for the little hooks of metal to fit around the teeth in front of and behind the extracted tooth!. I didn't brush at the site for about three days, and by then they were a bit fuzzy!. I very gently brushed them, and each day I was able to use a bit more pressure to brush!. They suggested I use a gauze pad to clean them the first day!. Didn't do that as the stitches still hurt and didn't want to bleed, or get the gauze caught in the stitches!. Sometimes I would just use my nail to remove gunk!. As for the pain, I got a Tylenol with codeine script!. Only used one, took extra strength Tylenol instead!. I think everyone's pain threshold is different so you need to take what you need!. I couldn't sleep on my right side for a couple weeks due to the pain, but then again, I had a tooth removed!. My periodontist told me to use Listerine!. Original formula is strong, but you really can feel the difference!.

Good luck!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
