I have two teeth that have good-sized chunks missing from them.do i need a root !

Question: I have two teeth that have good-sized chunks missing from them!.do i need a root canal!?
so i have one premolar on the left and one premolar on the right with chunks missing from them!. one has a filling, the other doesnt but is next to a tooth with a filling!. i grind my teeth quite a lot and after the first crack appeared on the left side, i began chewing solely on the right!. if i can see that about a quarter of each tooth is missing, what kind of a fracture is this and how severe is it, most likely!? what do you think the treatment will be!? (root canal, crown, removal!?)!. on top of all of this, my wisdoms are coming in (i can see the crown above the gums at this point), and i dont know if theyre related at all (theyve been there for a year or so)!.i have a lot of pain that comes and goes, along with the entire side of my jaw hurting!. please give me your opinions/advice/thoughts!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The teeth with the 'chunks' missing!.!. Can you see any discolouration on the remaning sections of teeth!? Anything that indicates that it could be a 'dead' tooth or one with extensive caries!?
The reason it could be hurting is that when the portion of the tooth fell off due to dental fracture, the nerve- or part of the nerve may have been exposed!. Even if nothing touches the nerve!.!. Breathing in air, or having a cold or hot drink may be enough to trigger pain from the exposed nerve!. It's pretty vital that you get to a dentist whenever you have any pain of any sort related to the teeth!. Try and book a dental appointment asap!.
With your wisdom tooth errupting from the gum, in my experience it was rather painful, and it could be why your jaw is hurting!. Over the counter painkillers may be enough to last until you can see a dentist!. (Never take more than it says to on the packet though!)!.
If you do leave the exposed nerve (if that's what's causing the pain), there's a risk that the tooth could become easily infected and lead to a periapical abscess (and they can be extremley nasty and dangerous) so don't let it get too far!. If you experience ANY swelling to the cheek, mouth, gum around the teeth that have the fractures- book an emergency dental appointment!. (Swelling usually means there's a damn good sign of a periapical abscess and swelling is a sign it's very serious)!.
To be on the safe side, a dental check up's never a bad idea ^^Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is really hard to tell if you will need a root canal or not without seeing the tooth itself or an xray!. At best you will get away with fillings!. Most likely though if enough tooth structure is missing and you are a grinder there are cracks and if the decay is close to the nerve of the tooth a root canal and crown will be needed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You would need to have x-rays taken to diagnose treatment needed!. They would do root canals if you are having pain, sensitivity, if they see an absess on x-ray!. It sounds like crowns would be best since fillings don't hold up that well when that much tooth structure is missing!. The pain could very well be related to your wisdoms!. Not everyone has enough room for them in their mouth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
