Try and cut the frequancy of sugar down, im not saying give up sugar but just eat it at one time of day rather than throughout the day!.

Also brush your teeth well twice a day, and also if needed 20 mins after eating!! no earlier or you will do more damage than good!.

Also dont brush too hard, and dont forget to brush your gums too!.

Do not use whitening toothpastes or bicarb of soda, as these are so abrasive they take the enamel of your teeth! I would not recommend it to anyone!.

Also floss at least once a day before brushing is better, and use a flouride mouthwash, such as Flourguard by colgate!.

This will build up the flouride on your teeth making it stronger!.

Also a good idea is to get some toothpaste on your finger and rub it gentle over the teeth to help build up the protection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Junk food is why, try to moderate the consumption of junk food with artificial sweeteners, aspartame, splenda, and xylitol all do not cause cavities, in fact xylitol can actually reverse dental decay!. also make sure your brushing habits are adequate, and that you are brushing all areas of your teeth, you can use a disclosing tablet to reveal where you have missed!. after brushing rinse with ACT Restoring mouthwash 2 times a day!. (or any fluoride mouthwash for that matter, be sure to follow directions)!. either that or after you brush apply Colgate Gel-Kam, an over-the-counter Fluoride Prevention Gel that reduces cavities!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Having braces can sometimes help cause more cavities because they create so many small places for bacteria and plaque to form!.!. Nomatter how much you brush, it can be hard to get in all those tiny spots!.!. But also some people can just have weaker enamel than most, and that can lead to cavities also!. Talk to your dentis/orthodontis about tooth strengthening rinses for soft enamel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can brush and floss a dozen times a day, if your not doing it properly it's not going to work!. You need to be using a soft bristle toothbrush, brushing at an 45 degree angle!. Don't forget the backs of your teeth! The best floss to use is UNWAXED, and make sure you get each tooth!. If your getting cavitys on your molars, look into getting a sealant placed to help getting decay in the pitts and fissures!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Forget about cutting sugar!.!.!. its just not gonna happen - we love our sweets, dont we!?

Use baking soda to brush your teeth often!. Why!?

There is bacteria in your mouth that turns sugar into acid!.
It is this acid that causes cavities and tooth decay!.
Baking soda (being a base) will neutralise the acid and prevent decay!.

Also, try to avoid snacking!. Better to eat a good proper meal and keep your teeth clean in the meantime!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
