Question: Spit, swallow, rinse!?
okay i was debating with my friend what to do after you use mouthwash!. he says he doesnt rinse after he spits out mouthwash but i always rinse my mouth with water afterwards because i think it tastes weird!. he was implying that if you rinse with water afterwards it will not work properly!. not saying that it wont work at all, just not as well!. but i have always rinsed, i just think its weird not to, i dont want to taste that stuff!. & i have known people who said they swallow, that has to be bad for you lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Rinsing afterwards is perfectly fine!. As long as you worked the mouthwash around for a good period of time it has done it's job!. And to tell you the truth mouthwash doesn't really do a whole lot of good!. It freshens your breath, but as far as killing bacteria and such things it does not make a huge difference!. My boyfriend is a chemist and they did an experiment to see how well mouthwash worked and that is what they came up with!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Mouthwash has to be non-toxic so it wouldn't be too bad for you to swallow it!. But one of the major ingredients is alcohol!
I spit and leave the taste in my mouth!. I -like- the taste! But the purpose of mouthwash is to kill germs in your mouth, and if you rinse with water afterwards, that won't suddenly fill your mouth with germs again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't swallow!. Most mouthwashes contain a high amount of alcohol!. Certainly spit!. Don't rinse!. If you rinse all you are doing is washing all that lovely antibacterial down the drain!. Let it sit in your mouth and do as much as it can to fight the bacteria!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I believe that it says "Do not swallow" right on the package!. I don't rinse my mouth, I always thought that it was like defeating the purpose if you rinsed!. What if you diluted the mouthwash with water and then gargled it, or would that be the same as rinsing!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
yeah I'm pretty sure swallowing is bad!. both are fine!. i know i rinse but i guess if you don't it works better cause some is still left in your mouth but i don't like the taste so i rinse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't think it matters, i always dilute my mouthwash with a little water so its not so strong!. it works good for me!Www@Answer-Health@Com
