Question: Braces question: teeth without brackets hurt!?
my two teeth right next to one of my molar bands seriously hurt!. i just got my braces adjusted the other day!. but the thing is, only these two teeth hurt and what's more, they don't have brackets on them!. any idea what might have caused this!? is it normal!? and what do i do to stop the pain!?! :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

First off i had had braces for three years and had the same problem!. Even though there are no brackets on those teeth they still move because the molar bands are pushing those teeth and because all of your other teeth are moving which cause your whole mouth to shift!. It may hurt now but when the braces are off it is totally worth it!. And for the pain i just took Tylenol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Even though those two teeth do not have brackets on them, the fact remains that you got your braces adjusted, therefore, the pain you are experiencing is the movement of your teeth!. But as you probably know, the pain will go away in about 2-3 days!. I have had my braces 1 year and 4 months!. They are scheduled to come off april of 2009!. I will be glad too!. My teeth have come a long way!. Even though I had to endure some pain and suffering, my new smile would be worth it!. Have a great day!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I had brackets on all my teeth, but it is possible that those teeth can hurt!. Just call the office on Monday and ask if it is normal!. Good luck and I feel your pain!. I had braces on twice for a total of about 5 years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
