Spacers???!

Question: Spacers!?!?!?
I get my spacers on in about 2 weeks!. I've heard that they're very painful!. And I have to go to cheer camp a few days after i get them on!. I was wondering if there was any way i could reduce the amount of pain!? I'm not very tolerant to pain!. The dentist told me I probably wouldnt be able to eat for a while because of it, and cheering in the heat for 12 hours a day on no food is not healthy!. so does anyone know of any medications or anything that will help!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Take some Tylenol or Advil with you!. Also take or get a variety of soft foods (eggs, apple sauce, pudding, jello, soup, yogurt, pasta, spaghetti-os, bananas)!. Of course drink plenty of water as well!. If you are really having a hard time eating, get some of those "old people" drinks, like Ensure!. They contain lots of vitamins and minerals!. (My doctors have told me to do this after I had oral surgery!.) I would also suggest talking to your orthodontist and general practitioner!. They would probably also have some good ideas!. And don't take any chances!. If you start feeling unwell while out practicing and know you haven't been eating enough, take a break!. Don't start again until you are feeling better!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
