ok so i am geting my braces off and need some tips on how the retainers feel and look and if they hurt and what colors look the best!. also how to clean i have heard stuff but not sure of the right way

Well, I'm just about to get braces, but my sister got hers off a while ago!.!.!.she had a black one!. You can't really see anything except the metal wire thing that goes around the teeth!. One piece of advice: Don't take it out and not where it for a while!. My sister found it later and it was all moldy and disgusting, and she just had to clean it and put it back it!. NASTY!!! :) She said that it hurts some but it's not totally unbearable!. Just take some Tylenol and you'll be fine!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
i haven't had braces as of now!. but yes to the retainer!. i had a clear/pinkish one!. it hurt a bit but i got use to it!. the reason it was hurting because it was pushing my teeth together!. now this happened to me but i am not sure about others but when i first got it, and started to wear it, i couldn't talk right when i had it in, but then i got so use to it wearing it all the time & stuff, that you couldn't even tell i had it in!. i sometimes even ate with in!. yeah i know, but i didn't have my case with me at that time too! so i'm just saying!.

Ok, they do not really hurt but they will if you don't let them know that they are agitating you during your fitting, you need to wear/clean your retainer as often as directed by the doctor!. Also, if you want a natural look, just get red!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
it just feels weird when you eat with it, i clean mine before and after wearing them, just use your toothbrush to scrub it!. it does not hurt!. about the colors, i havent met anybody with colored retainers before, mine was clear yellowish tint!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
