Question: Deteriorated teeth!.!.something bad!?
my dad has pretty bad teeth!. he smokes and his teeth have like holes in them!. his gums are almost gone and fallen off!.
can this mean cancer!? please help me out my mom!. my sister and i are all very scared and concerned!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hello, It sounds as though your Dad is a textbook case of someone who has mad a great effort to completely ignore practice a system of good or la tooth care!.!.!.!.Given what you have said I must assume that while the smoking is an unhealthy issue, I have to wonder if he has now or in the past had an issue with alcohol or other addicting substances!.
Now you must get him to a dentist!. What you describe is an ongoing issue of gum tissue and bone loss!.!.!.!.As the gum bone shrinks the teeth lose what holds them in place!. Once enough bone has gone the teeth will get loose and extractions will be the needed service!.!.!.!.I have to tell you as well, that the longer he allows the gum bone to go away the less gum bone he will have to wear a denture on!. As for your concern about Cancer, while it's possible, it doesn't sound like a Cancer issue!.!.!.!.At this point I would be more concerned about lung cancer!.!.!.!.He needs to see a DDS and improve his diet!.!.!.he can help that out by beginning to take a good "one-a day" vitamin that contains vitamins A!.B!.C!.D!.E!. and Zinc!.!.!.
