Question: BRACES help! Please I'm really depressed!. (easy 10 points)!?
So I have an expander in my mouth and the ortho used so much glue to attach it to my teeth!. Like the bottom of my top 4 teeth are covered with dental glue!. I am so scared that there are cavities brewing up inside there!. I'm really scared!. The ortho didn't clean my teeth before attaching it, which is worrying me even more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I see your concern!. It is possible if there is decay on your teeth and they put the cement over it, for the decay to eat at your teeth!. Same idea as decay under a crown!. Usually, orthodontists will check for decay before putting dental appliances in!. If you want, you can get a cleaning at a general dental office, not the orthodontist, and the hygienist can scale off the cement!. It isn't a big deal!. But the cement on your teeth could drive you nuts if it causes your bite to be different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Not sure if you're talking about spacers when you say "expanders!." If they're the little foam things that they put between your teeth then you only need em for a week or so!. Its fine, you're not going to get cavities from a week unless you exclusively chew tootsie pops!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i think bacteria found in the mouth are aerobic ones, meaning they need oxygen to survive, if some got caught in the glue they would have been probably dead by now due to lack of oxygen!. just do regular cleaning of your mouth and you'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if your ortho is really not satisfactory consisder switching!.!.
otherwise braces suck!.!.

the orthodontist knows what he is doing i know many people that had expanders and there teeth look very good now!. trust the doctor!. if you are really worried go to another orthodontist and ask him if your other orthodontist did it right!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
