Question: Will you totally be put to sleep while undergoing a tooth implant!?
or are they only going to give you an anesthetic but still you're eyes are wide awake and you could feel the drilling!.!.!. i really really need to know!. thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am a surgical assistant at an Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons office and we do Implants!. There are alot of different reasons you could have IV Sedation and have what we referr to as a twilight sleep ( A light sedation, you are responsive just relaxed or out of it a bit to make the procedure go easier)!. Some people have dental phobias, some people are very anxious, some people are scared and some people don't have a problem being awake!. Then there are questions regarding your health that may relate to whether you take a snooze or not!. Do you need a tooth extracted first!? Where is the location or do you know the tooth number!? How is the bone, do you need a bone graft!? There is a lot of info to inquire about and then you make a decision to take a snooze or stay awake!. Sometimes it may be suggested for IV, it depends on how extensive your case is!. Make sure where ever you go, that they go out of there way to educate you about the Implant process!. Phamplets, Internet!. Also if they take the time to educate you, your in the right place!. It's about you the patient not anyone else, at this point we work for you!. Patient comfort!.

I had a tooth implant!.!. and it doesn't even hurt at all!. You would be awake!.!. which is better, and would only last an hour!. You wouldn't even know its an hour, bec!. it feels so fast and easy!. I think extracting a tooth is harder and more painful than putting a tooth implant!. I left the dentist without any pain at all!.!. great doctor, and to think I was his first patient for tooth implants!.!.!.
I would also suggest not to watch the video how it is being done!. If you would, you'd get scared!.!. I had a choice!.!. I decided i didn't want to, and its great!.!. Saw it after it was done on me!.!.!.which was awesome!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am facing the same procedure!. I know some that have endured the implant with novocaine, and others who have been put to sleep!. Ask your oral surgeon!. I am opting to go to sleep!. It is your choice!. If you are skittish, like me, you can choose for the IV method that makes you unaware of anything that is happening!. You will not be able to eat for 8 hours prior to the procedure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It is your choice!. However the actual work is usually quite quick!. The proper freezing is what takes the time, not the actual work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
