Abscess...?!

Question: Abscess!.!.!.!?
A couple of days ago I bumped by gums with the end of my toothbrush!.

You know, like if you're brushing too fast and you bump your gums!?

Anyway, the area I bumped only feels painful when I touch it;

How would I know if it was infected or something!?

Would I get a fever from how it is now!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
This is not an infection!. The gum tissue is very thin and fragile!. Bumping it like you said you have will definitely irritate the gums there for a few days!. Fortunately for you, the gums heal very quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it was infected you would know! It would be swollen and would hurt really bad, if you were trying to chew food or anything and yes if you had an infection you would be running a fever!. Don't worry you most likely just got a little cut when you bumped it with your toothbrush, just keep it clean by brushing regularly and rinse with mouthwash and you will be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well push on it and if a bad tasting liquid comes out then that is an abscess I know I have had one!.Honestly it just sounds like a sore spot but if it gets worse go to the doctor get and anti-biotic and get the tooth pulled because an abscess if left untreated can go up your neck your face get in you ear and eventually your blood stream and kill you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nah, your'e OK it's just a little 'toothbrush trauma', will go away on its own, but if you need some pain relief, there are products in the dental aisle that will help, just numb the area to make it comfortable!.!.!.!.!.not to worry!Www@Answer-Health@Com

its prolly just a little cut, it would take a pretty big infection to give you a fever!. if it starts to drain puss like fluids its prolly infected!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
